1. What has it been like to be involved @North for the last 2-3 years?
It has been a wonderful journey, full of both challenges and blessings.
Challenges, because both Ivy and I did not have a close relationship with the core plant group and we were ‘departing’ from very dear, close friends at Concord, who had been a very big part of our decision to accept Jesus as our Saviour and had supported us in our on going walk with Him.
Blessings, because @ North, we have witnessed great works and have become stronger in our Faith with the help of warm and caring fellowship.
2. What have been some of the great challenges the church faced during that time?
We all lead very busy/time deprived lives – so I think the major challenge, has been the stretch to get the basics done and then move strongly onto Gods work. The pioneering North Leadership team, have completed a great job and their effort/work should not be undervalued.
3. What were some of the great blessings?
To mention a few - David’s courage and leadership, Robert’s passion and commitment, Tina, David and Ian coming to know Jesus, Seng Min’s arrival, the entire congregations growth in numbers to sometimes exceed 50 worshippers, (not including the many new beautiful babies) and of course, Gods presence and hand on all.
4. Where do you think God is leading us as a church?
I am thinking and praying that God wishes @ North to be a church with Love and Passion – a place of Learning and Sharing God’s word. Being True, Faithful and Inspirational……. as God will want it to be.
It will be wonderful to have a larger Congregation, with more hands to do His work and with a oneness of Love, moving in the Spirit. I am sure that the Cornerstone North congregation is waiting with open arms, hearts and minds for the next exciting steps @ North.
