Orientation week & Welcoming Dinner at Macquarie Uni

We had a very successful Orientation week at Macquarie University on 5th August 2008

Altogether, 70 survey forms were filled out and many more were invited to our Welcoming Dinner

We had lots of fun meeting people and had fun as a group working together

Out of those 70 people who filled out surveys, over 50 new contacts came to our Welcoming Dinner. There were lots of fun and games and a short talk by CS at the end of the evening. The gospel talk was on "Running the Race" ...appropriate because it was the very same evening that the Olympic games opened in Beijing.

It would encourage us so much if you could partner us in this exciting ministry by supporting us in prayer, contributing to food, coming along to visit and to meet the students, providing transport for our excursions or just taking time out to find out how things are going at MICF

Our first MICF meeting in Semester 2

MICF recommenced last Friday on 15th August, with a series of talks and bible studies on the claims of Jesus.

Many new contacts made during Orientation week and our welcoming dinner, came back to join us and we are so grateful to God for His sovereign grace and goodness and giving us such wonderful opportunities to share the gospel of salvation.

A few of these contacts came to church last Sunday at Cornerstone@north. It is such a joy and delight to see these students who are hungry to learn, connect with us and responding to the community of believers.

Sharing pizzas!

Furthermore, a trip to Featherdale Wildlife Park was also organised for them last Saturday. A total of 25 students went to the excursion.

We are grateful to those who helped us with transport and took time out to befriend these students.

God has since brought us several helpers from Concord and we are so grateful for their partnership in the gospel of Jesus! Please continue to pray that God will empower us and equip us to do His good work.
