Last farewell for Sharon

The mother's group @north got together, to farewell Sharon over a delicious and noisy affair of "YUM CHA".
The ladies really know how to throw a party! The "entourage" consisted of nine ladies and eight children, including babies!! What a feat!
Sharon was presented with some going away presents. Shirley very kindly put together some Chinese ingredients, which might be hard to find in Canberra....(maybe??)
It is evident from the photos that they had a wonderful time of fellowship!
Please pray for Sharon & Kwan who left for Canberra last Saturday for six months.
Please pray that they will settle and be able to find a church where they can fellowship and serve.
*Mother's group@north meets every Friday morning (at various locations)

Scrumptious desserts!!

Today, we had the second Welcoming lunch for new comers. The Marrs graciously opened their warm and beautiful home, and extended their kind hospitality to us all!

It was a nice and cosy affair, and it was a sweet time of food and fellowship! Thank you Wayne & Luan, for all your hard work in organising this and for all the yummy food and desserts that members of the welcoming team contributed to.

Please continue to pray for us, as new members are consolidated into the body of Christ. Pray for us especially, for the upcoming "Introducing God" course which will begin on Tuesday, 17th July and will run for seven weeks.

Cell group dinner for the Yeohs (13th July)

Our cell group had a farewell dinner for Kwan and Sharon at their place tonite. Unfortunately, many couldn't make it.

Nevertheless we still had a good time of fellowship over a meal. Sharon cooked a scrumptious meal of yummy mixed mushrooms, steam pork with salted vegetables, a beef rendang (curry) and vegetables. CS brought his most famous soya sauce chicken from Eastwood (Barbeque 1), Beth made a rolled pavalova with peaches and cream and the Yips brought a mango cheese cake made by Michel's :p

We had a very casual evening of catching up, and we shared and prayed at the end.

Please pray for Kwan and Sharon as they go to Canberra for 6 months, as part of Kwan's training. Pray for God's protection and hand upon them, and that they will be able to find fellowship, teaching and support in a church over there.

We'll miss you heaps guys!
