Our time at the J O Fraser Centre (Thailand/Chiang Dao)

We spent a week with the students at the James O Fraser Centre In Chiang Dao

We enjoyed their fellowship, acceptance and welcome and got to know and love them very much

They are God's beautiful children and we continue to pray for them, as they study and learn English and theology

We pray that in the years to come, they will be fully equipped to teach and serve God and that they will be ready to go wherever God leads them

They encourage us so much by their simplicity, their genuine faith and trust in God (even in the midst of much physical suffering) and seperation from their families

Even though, we have now returned to Sydney, our hearts are very much with our brothers and sisters in Chiang Dao.
Some of our brothers there are powerful and effective evangelists. However, we also pray that the Lisu Christians will be grounded in their faith through good and faithful teaching of the word of God.

Please pray that more and more resources will be made available to them, so that the Centre will be a place where Lisu pastors, bible teachers/leaders/youth workers/sunday school teachers can be trained in the future and be given solid bible teaching

As we talk to more churches about joining us in partnership, we pray that God will move more and more hearts to respond...that more qualified theological teachers would go and give of their time to edify and teach...and also thatmore funds would be provided for the translation and printing of good Christian English literature into the Lisu language...for the praise and glory of God!!

May the Lisu churches in Thailand, Burma and China grow in spiritual maturity. We pray that as they begin to understand more and more of the Word of God, and as the spirit gives spiritual discernment and insight...that the word of God would powerfully impact their lives and shape them more and more toward obedience, servanthood and discipleship
....to become the people that you have called them to be.

Lord, please hear our prayers for the Lisu people. Provide people and resources in your time and your way...and continue to mobilise us, as a church to move forward to support and help our Christian Lisu brothers and sisters
...for your name's sake..and for your glory..Amen!
