Sisters in Christ. Sharing in the joy of the Lord
Fellowship through the study of His word

Women from all walks of life, from many different churches across Sydney, came together for Equip 2009. We had the privilege to fellowship with women from other churches, singing together in praise to our King and sitting under His word, learning and encouraging one another in the Lord.
This year's theme was "The Queen and I", based on the book of Esther.
Even though God is not explicitly mentioned in the book of Esther, He very evidently works in the lives of His people and sovereignly brings events together at just the right time, to bless and protect His people
Even though Esther is a Jew, she is much favoured by the King and he marries her. Through her position as queen, God uses her as his instrument to save the lives of His people, at great risks to her own life. For "who knows that you have come to a royal position for such a time as this?"
Through many twists and turns and "co-incidences", God orchestrates a chain of events to finally bring deliverance to His people.
God continues to deliver us now, but ultimately, we are exiles waiting for our final deliverance to heaven, our eternal home.
Like Esther, we have a privileged position, and we are to humbly, excitedly, purposefully, and courageously accept the plans and purposes that God is and will bring about, in and through our lives, for His glory!
