Dedication and Infant Baptism (30th November 2008)

Elyssa was dedicated to the Lord last Sunday by her parents, Jason and Ethel.
They dedicated her with the prayer that she will grow up in the grace and knowlege of God, under their guidance and teaching and in God's grace, come to a saving knowlege of God, when she is old enough to understand.

Children are wonderful gifts and blessings from God, and parents are to take their responsibility as their spiritual leaders and guardians seriously.
Emulating for their children, the example of Jesus; by word and deed.

Jonah was presented for water baptism
, as a sign that God's covenant with His people is extended to their families and extended families.

Malcolm and Belinda, therefore stepped forward, offering their son in baptism. In faith, they believe that God would deal with their son Jonah, in like manner, as God has with them, within the fellowship of His covenant love and grace.

Likewise, Malcolm and Belinda are to teach and instruct their children in the ways of the Lord and to live out their faith in God, before their children as godly examples.

May we, as the family of God pray, teach, support, instruct, and love them in the Lord, as they grow together with us in His kingdom.
